Who We Are

For me, my love for interior design started in Jackson, MS with my mother. I vividly remember sitting on the sofa next to her to catch up on the latest HGTV shows. She subscribed to Southern Living so I would casually thumb through the recent editions in my spare time. Viewing beautiful interiors and reading about how designers achieved signature looks intrigued me. I wanted to learn how to achieve similar aesthetic bliss, but I wasn’t sure how to do that. Since I didn’t have a clear plan, I took the alternate route and obtained a bachelor’s degree in English from Rhodes College. Being an entrepreneur scared me at the time due to lack of stability and I had no clue of where to begin. While attempting to figure it out, I relocated to New Orleans, Louisiana to become a teacher. Even after teaching for a few years, the gnawing feeling that I should be doing something else still lingered in the back of my mind.

After meeting my husband and giving birth to a beautiful son, we decided to take a leap of faith and relocate to Florida. When the dust settled , I realized that teaching was not my passion; interior design was. I decided to chase my dream and I enrolled in the New York Institute of Art & Design for interior design. It was so fulfilling to receive my interior design license and finally start living my passion. With an appetite to learn more, I also decided to learn the virtual world of e-design. It is truly an amazing experience to live your passion each day!
